The Pennsylvania Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming is a three marathon swim series that requires three solo unassisted marathon swims: • 30 km Three Rivers Marathon Swim in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania • 12.8 km Bender Memorial Marathon Swim in Norristown, Pennsylvania • 39.1 km crossing of Lake Erie The Three Rivers Marathon Swim (3RMS) is a 18.6-mile marathon swimming competition organized by Darren Miller as a charity swim for Team Forever. The course includes a 10 km swim each in the Ohio River, Monongahela River, and Allegheny River. Last month, the Southern California resident headed to Australia to take on the challenge of completing the Australian Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming . The Australian Triple Crown of Marathon Swimming is managed by the Australian Long Distance Swimming Federation and Honor Organization of both the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame and the Australian Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame .
